Where I Find Inspiration

A while ago, I wrote a post about how I stay inspired with blogging. It was all about things I do or thoughts I keep in my mind whenever I feel like I've run out of ideas. However, with this post I'm going to share where I find inspiration, specific things I reach for or go to. Whether it's in real life or online, every has places where they go to for inspiration. If you haven't found it yet, i hope this post can help in some way. Here are my top 5...

1. Through music

I may not write a music blog, nor do i have any musical talent. Despite that, music always helps me feel so inspired. There may be a lyric that generates an idea, or a particular song can provide inspiration. I always have music on whilst I'm blogging or getting stuff done, as it really keeps me going.

2. My favourite blogs

Without copying of course, but reading blogs is an excellent way to find inspiration. Many bloggers actually write posts listing post ideas, and a particular post can inspire an idea for you. If I haven't read my favourite blogs for a while, I find that I don't have as many ideas. Finding people with the same passions can be so inspiring.

3. Tumblr

I use Tumblr for visual inspiration, and sometimes I will find amazing quotes. I try to make my blog seasonal and present with the times. What started out as a place for me to fan-girl has turned into my online vision board. Pinterest and even Instagram can also be used for a similar purpose. If you looked at my Tumblr right now, you will see fashion, beauty, food, cities, and a little bit of autumn.

4. Getting outside/travel

If you're lucky enough to travel often, you may use different places for inspiration. However, you never know what you will find locally. Whether it's taking a walk through your neighbourhood, going to your favourite local spot, or going to a coffee shop to work there instead of at home. Having a change of scenery can literally help you find inspiration in a specific place.

5. Going shopping or looking through my wardrobe

Hitting the shops, even if it's just for window-shopping, can inspire wishlists and new fashion or beauty posts. You might even treat yourself, and that leads to hauls, outfit posts, reviews, and even monthly favourites. As well as that, having a look through your wardrobe and beauty collection can help you find inspiration with what you already own, and that avoids breaking the bank! At least once every season, I will look through my wardrobe and try on outfits for potential post ideas.

Where do you find inspiration? Do you have places online and in real life?
