Taking A Little Break

Tomorrow I am jetting off to Tenerife for a week away with the girls and I couldn't be more excited. With my hours increasing at work and life getting pretty busy, I've found it hard to make time for blogging which made me feel really bad. Instead of getting stressed about having a million things to do, I've decided to take a week out of blogging to enjoy my holiday and start fresh when I get back. It feels like to right thing to do. I will still post pics on Instagram, but Twitter may be bit more quiet for the next week or so.

Sometimes when life gets a bit hectic, you've got to take a step back. A chance to look at what you've achieve, and what you would like to improve. We can get so caught up in doing so much at once, but we need to take the time to appreciate the here and now. If you think you won't have enough time to relax, take 10 mins out of your day to just breathe. Take a short walk, get away from a screen and try to calm your mind. Look at your to-do list and see if you can break it down. If you try and tackle three main things everyday, that's brilliant.

As we approach the end of summer and the start of Autumn, it's back to school or the start of a new journey for others. A new year at school, the start of college or university, or taking a gap year with or without knowing what direction you're life is going. These times can be full of uncertainty, so try to give yourself little breaks and chances to stop and breathe if you're feeling nervous.

I don't really know where this post is heading, and it's probably the most I've ever rambled on in a blog post! I just had to get this off my chest because I was feeling a bit stressed and I know the end of summer can be a nerve-racking time with lots of new things approaching. It's so important to take a break out of your day or week to breathe, gain some perspective and find calm amongst the chaos.

Good luck to anyone who is starting a new educational year or any new journey. Follow your own path and everything will be okay.
